A Goodbye

You may remember back in January, I attended my cousins Grandmother's 100th birthday.

She was all dressed in pink, even a pink hat.

And pink cupcakes

Tuesday, Blanche passed away. She had always wanted to make it to 100, she did and after that her health failed.

Knowing my cousin is saying goodbye to her Grandmother today makes me think of my Grandmother. She and Blanche knew each other through Eastern Star and the day of her party, we talked about my Grandmother. It was so nice to still have someone remember her and talk about her.
She did not live to be 100,  but 83. She was a little thing, and lived in a little pink house with my Grandfather. So when I was looking for a post today I found this one of her dressed in pink.

Fathers Day is tomorrow, but for today I will be thinking of Grandmother's.

Praying for my cousin and hope today is more of thinking of the joy that a Grandmother brings to our lives as she says goodbye to hers.

What a tender memory, of both ladies. They did have long, good lives. What a nice way to pay tribute to them.

Have a wonderful Pink Saturday.

What a great post! Grandmothers are the best in my book. I always remember planting and working with mine in the garden. I thin that is where I picked up my gardening skills. Thank You for stopping by have a good day....Julian

Well, your grandma and Blanche sure have a lot of catching up to do. I am sure she is showing her the ropes.
Prayers for those left behind. It's the hardest thing to do.
Hugs- Tete

I can relate so much to your post today. I had a grandmother I dearly loved. She wanted so badly to live to be a 100 and be on TV. I assured her I would see that it happened. Unfortunately, she only made it to 98.

What sweet memories, my Meme was in Eastern Star as well, I miss her all the time too.
Thank you for sharing such a sweet little lady with us.

Me, still said...

I remember reading about the birthday, and thinking of my grandmother, whom I miss dearly. I am sorry for your cousin's loss (and yours)
My grandmother was a little lady, like yours. Never leaving the house without her makeup, earrings, and hair properly done. I miss you so much Abuela...
