Auction Finds!

While on vacation, when I went home I got to go
to the weekly auction with my friend.
We so enjoy it.
Not too much this week, it is hit or miss.
But I picked up a couple of things
I had my eye on this....as it was the end of the auction
and entire tables go for $1.
this great pitcher in perfect shape
with turquoise, pink and black.
It was $6
it may go to my friend that collects
turquoise Pyrex?

Then these came up
2 chenille candlewick bedspreads
My cousin had been looking for one to make crafts with.
Even in bad shape they seem to run $25 at the antique stores?
How about $1 for both of them!
I didn't care how they looked since I was giving them
away for crafting.
But........

What do you do when both are in great shape?
no stains no rips
this one has a pretty edge on it.
Looks like one may be staying at 1515.
I have my Mom and Dads bed
and it always had
that kind of bedspread on it.
Actually ........
yes I have that bedspread
here it is in my spare bedroom

there was more fun when my cousin and I saw a yard sale
I really do not do yard sales but something said
"pull in"
it was close to 1515.
It was a couple who had been antiquing all there lives.
There garage was set up like a little store.
And of course as we talked we learned their life story.
He was a retired teacher and superintended.
She married and moved away with him so she thrifted to get
to know a new town.
They were downsizing.
a cute little red radio flyer for $6
Christmas present shhhhh...

coin glass spooner
another Christmas gift

cute little pitchers
great to put a fall flower arrangement in
the one is a hull
So it all added up to $24
and 3 Christmas gifts.

How was your finds this week?

The spreads are lovely. If they need to be brighter soak them in OxyClean powder 3 scoops and warm water- then wash as normal. That was an awesome price.xo, olive

Oh Ann you did yourself proud too girl! Love the pitcher! The chenille spreads, what a steal and in such good condition! I had not heard of hull until recently. Glad you decided to stop at the yard sale! Can you believe that I have never been to an auction? Don't hear of them around here much. Would love to someday!
