This and That

Missing all of you...........
has anyone missed me?

Just 26 days to go.
We had a little cousin weekend, the best news there is a house down the street from mine that we love, it has been empty for years. It was for sale recently and has been sold!
Yes!
A engineer for the city is taking the next 8 months to redo it. Should be done by my Birthday.
They already have put a new roof on.
It will be fun to watch the progress.
Do you want to watch along with me?
Then he and his wife and 3 children will move in!
I am funny about those things, it does my heart good to know a historic home like it will be again filled with love and laughter of a family.

It has so much Victorian character so much potential

The wood paneled staircase

the inside of the rounded window

not a good picture, but it even has a little balcony

I hope they keep the door, and old fashion ringer for a door bell

It was warm enough one day to walk up town.
I spent the weekend in meetings and planning
finally took some pictures at one of our meetings.
I had not taken any.
Do you see, even Abe was present!

as I left I glanced to my left. The courthouse tower always seems to be
on my mind and there it was.
We have permission as the names of those killed and wounded from the Riot
that the bell will ring once.
Will I not shed a tear when they say "Young Ewing Winkler"?

I hope the weather breaks by the end of the month.
So many won't commit to playing music or taking part in the
Civil War encampment "All depends on the weather"

So as I went towards the garage to leave
is that a Robin?

and the geese have been flying north all weekend.

We have another ice/snow storm today.
ho hum

Hope your all doing well, miss you!

What a great looking house for them to redo! I'm sure it's going to be even more beautiful.

Good luck with the weather!

The older homes are better built than some of new ones. This will truly be a beautiful structure when finished.

Hi Ann,
How lucky for that family to own that house. It's beautiful and so much potential! Now what town is it in? That's funny about Abe, when I first saw him I was thinking "that looks like Abraham Lincoln"! How funny.
Have a great week ahead.

Ann,
Of course, you've been missed, dear one!!!
I can't imagine all the work you must be doing at this point in the planning. . . but I'm sure it is immense!!!
I loved looking at the exterior and interior of the "Great Lady" and would love for you to do updates as they become available!
Snowing and a frigid 7 degrees here on the Prairie today, dear friend! Trying to stay warm.
Fondly,
Pat
