My Favorite Chair

Allison from The Polohouse
has Favorites on the First
So when I read the header,
I thought "what IS my favorite chair"?

I love this chair

Of course you must hear the story behind it
It belongs to my MIL
It was in my in laws living room
When they decided to downsize, everyone got something.
I was the recipient of a gorgeous large curio cabinet
that holds all my crystal.
When I bought 1515 and was trying to furnish it without
buying anything new, my SIL said she had some pieces she
was not using in the basement.
There was my MIL coffee table, end table and a crystal
lamp. I told my SIL I would take them all.
Then she offered me the chair!

I jumped at the chance
You see many years ago, my husband painted it and
reupholstered it for his mom
That was in the 80's
But I love the print, and it is in perfect shape.
The green is kind of an avocado green, but it works
I love the details on it.
And the best thing it is so comfortable.
There is always someone sitting in it.

Another SIL gave me the "family" pillow
and I knew just where it needed to go.

That's awesome that the chair made it to you! It's so comforting when you look around you and see things from loved ones and friends! I have a lot of plants and flowers from loved ones and friends and when they come up every year, my step is a little lighter and my smile a little brighter from memories of that person.

Hi Ann!
How lucky were you to inherit this lovely chair!

Love the story and that it
is still being used and appreciated in your home.
I think your mother in law would have loved that!

Thanks for sharing!
