Vintage Christmas

When I saw Jann
was having a
Vintage Christmas Party
I thought....Hey that is up my alley!
If you are a follower you know
It is my Grandparents house I bought 4 yrs ago
It is all vintage
So shall we take a look?
The tree is big lights and all
vintage shiny bright ornaments.
My Grandmothers blocks under the tree.
same spot in the living room as it was in 1943

Come on in, hang up your coat in the closet
Santa will help

love things in the original packages especially the Santa Mugs
I found.

Shall we move to the dining room

The Santa planter in the middle belonged to my Grandfather
tree in corner with shiny brights

Christmas cards sent to my Great Grandparents from
pictures of us cousins with Santa, that is me on the right

My Daddy's boyhood bedroom
box after box of shiny bright
check out the corner
"you'll shoot your eye out!"
picture of my Dad in front of 1515 in December 1943

Are you ready for my Grandparents bedroom?
My other Grandmother's aluminum tree all done in pink

a box full of her corsages

Let us not forget the kitchen!

vintage tablecloths

vintage aprons
bottle brush trees above the sink
and a candle in ever window

I will leave a candle burning

It also is

What a great vintage Christmas post.
I love all of the old treasures and have some of the same things. I think it's extra special that your things actually belonged to your grandparents and parents. Most of mine are from thrift/antique shops.
I've never seen the little Santa mugs in the package. Who knew that they were once used for shot glasses :).

Well you had me at vintage! It's my favorite part of Christmas decorations. Your tree looks amazing. I love all the original boxes with ornaments. I have some Christmas cups but I took them out of the plastic (kept it though). Love ALL of the Santas.

Love it all, Ann! My favorite is the big colored lights. I have been buying a set every time I can, trying to get enough of them to do our tree with. They won't be vintage, but they will be like the big old bulbs that we had growing up. They are sooo costly tho!

Oh my gosh Ann I love this post! I love your grandparents house at 1515! I could spend hours here just browsing. I will be back for another look. You have such an amazing collection of shiny brites. Love all of your (in the package) treasures. The silver tree, oh gosh; just love it all! I will be featuring you for sure sweetie!

I forgot to tell you that when I saw the big Santa face I almost cried. We had one so similar growing up that I loved. My mom hung it outside on the house every year. He lit up and his nose had started to get a hole in it. No one knows what ever became of him. Would loved to have him in my home!
