Rainy Day Treats

It is Labor Day Weekend
here at1515
were are suppose to be working
We were going to paint the trim
the ladder is idle....it is pouring out.

We should be doing this..
when we pulled up yesterday Marty, Fred and Mary were doing yard work.

But today, we start.......and it rains........then it stops.....then it rains...

We had a cookout at friends last night, looking forward to sitting
on their lakeside deck, and enjoy the fire pit.
It rained, they even had to give MR. a shirt to wear home
he was soaked from trying to help.

So instead we are inside cooking
going to be Sloppy Joe's tonight in the
crock pot.

How about a snack?

We spur of the moment threw this together after we saw
candy corn at Walmart.
Candy corn, sesame sticks, and peanuts, yum!

Looks even better in my square red Pyrex bowl.

Grandmother..we tried to work on the outside but no can do!
Hope you and Sport don't mind we are staying in!

As much as we need rain, it always seems to come when we least welcome it! It's looked like rain here all weekend, but not so much as a drop! I'm sure once we head out on the lake it will pour! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Crazy rain- never enough when you need it and a whole lot of it when you don't want it. Enjoy your weekend-you can play inside! Grandmother won't mind! xo Diana

That darn rain! Sorry it hit during the holiday weekend. We got three huge t-storms this weekend. I decided to quit mowing when the thunder was louder than the lawnmower. I didn't think it was worth getting hit by lightning just to finish the lawn. haha Luckily it passed quickly.

I would love that snack too!

Have a great day.

I hope the rain stops long enough for you to get some work done outside.

Hope it stopped raining there. we had some last week. Then a fast moving storm blew in today...just as the pavers were here to do the driveways. Doesn't it just figure. Smiles, Susie
