Vintage Valentine Vignette

Vintage Valentine Vignette

now, say that 3 times.....

Just kidding. I have not felt very much like putting any effort in to
decorating my house these past weeks. With the water break at 1515 that is costing $$$
We found out Thursday.......yep we have a water main break here at our house too.
Now what are the odds of that in the same month?
What is the old saying "if it wasn't for bad luck I would not have any luck at all"

my little shelf below the staircase

Vintage vases with sweet little girls on them

This is a true Victorian scrap Valentine made by my Great Grandmother
in 1901. Inside she sweetly tells what all the children are doing and then
quotes bible verses. It is such a treasure to me. you can see it here.

Colors of pink and roses

Think of me.....

evening light and my Great Grandfathers Valentine he bought
as a young man in 1865 with money is father gave him.

I think the boy and girl make sweet Valentines for each other

after all cupid is hanging around ready to shoot them with his arrow

Ann,
Sorry about the leaks! That is never fun. :( You lots more Valentine's decorations than me. I usually go right from evergreens to spring things. Very pretty and sweet.

I'm sorry you have leaks at both places. What bad luck. :-(

Your valentines are precious.

Ann I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time right now with water main breaks. On a brighter note, your Vintage Valentine Vignette is beautiful and I bet looking at it makes you smile. Hugs, Gail

Ann- I am so sorry that you are having all those maintenance problems. I thought of the saying...when it rains...it pours...which I think fits right in with a WATER problem!

Love your Valentine's Day decorations. They are just lovely and what a sweet little shelf by your stairway!

I hope this week brings you some maintenance relief! xo Diana

OMGosh! What a time you are having! I cannot believe that it happened to both houses. I think you need to see about buying a lottery ticket or something.
I love all of you family pieces and these valentines are just the greatest!
I have some from the 60s-80s that my grandfather gave my grandmother. They are in a tote somewhere in the back of my closet!
Hang in there, better days are coming!

You have a lot of neat Valentine things! I love your grandfather's vintage Valentine, what a treasure!

Sorry about the problems you are having. Last week we had plumbing problems, but it was on the side that the city maintains!

Pretty crummy having broken pipes in two homes. Sorta takes the joy away, doesn't it? I hope that your little vintage valentine vignette cheered you up. It did me. Have a better week.

The Think of Me cup is too sweet. Leaks are awful. I have had it rain in the bed with me at our old house and it was not a happy moment I tell ya.

Great Valentine decorations, especially your family heirloom!

I'm so sorry to hear about your pipe problems. That really stinks!

Have a great day.

I love that you have such wonderful heirlooms and you know the stories behind them. Fabulous. I am so sorry about all the water issues, that just seems unreal for sure. Hopefully that will be all the bad news for a while. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
