Table Top Tuesday

I had my new stove delivered on Saturday and it was a good opportunity to clean and move things around on the cabinet next to the stove. That is where I have the things I need to cook with.

utensils, herbs, salt, pepper and vinegar and oil

I love the cookbook holder I found years ago...usually Mr. bible is there....that would be The Joy of Cooking. He gets it out every Sunday and decides what he wants to make for Sunday dinner, he loves that.

Of course I have my large salt and pepper grinder and my utensils for quick access.

This is one of my most treasured items. I had always wanted a vintage spice rack, they were so expensive back in the 90's...about $250. When my Mom and I were in London on one of our trips, we saw this spice rack at Fortum and Mason. I loved it and you could pick which herbs you wanted for the drawers. My sweet Mom bought it for me and had it shipped home. You can see why I love it so.

The vinegar and oil we brought back from Paris. There was a kitchen shop down the street from our hotel on Rue Vaneau and I loved stopping there. So these, some salt and pepper shakers and clay jars for basil and garlic have come home with us over the years. Now I have seen the same ones show up in the US.

It is a small space, but holds what I need and does so in a Sentimental way, bringing back thoughts of good times of trips in the past.

I know everyone is showing their Fall decors... I am running behind but here is what I do have in the window of the kitchen

I love it because, it runs on a battery and timer and comes on every night!
There is nothing like saying home with a candle burning in the kitchen window.

What lovely pieces!!!
The spice cupboard is just the cutest thing ever!
So nice that you can have everything so close at hand, and heart.

Love your treasures! The candle is a lovely accent as welcoming! Funny that we have similar cats. Hope yours likes people better than ours does. He is indeed a scaredy cat! We call him Capt. Courageous when the doorbell rings...and he disappears under the couch!

Ok, I totally have stove envy, Ann! I bet you will love it! And ! also really love your spice rack, I've never seen one like it before. That was so sweet of your mom to buy it when you were on vacation. I love purchasing things like that, that we can use, when we are on trips. So much more fun (and useful!) than the usual t-shirts!! Have a great week!

I haven't even started to decorate for fall or Halloween yet, except for the wreath on the front door. The spice cabinet is wonderful! And I am so jealous of your new gas stove! I really want to replace mine!

Awesome! Love your new stove, too. I love the spice rack. So cute and so wonderful that it reminds you of your mom and your times together.
It's raining here again and looks like for the next several hours. We got 1.1" last night. You are going to need to mow again.
Hugs- Tete

Lovely treasures to bring home and the candle is perfect in the window. I LOVE window candles. I may get mine out early. I usually put them out after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the idea.

Oh my look at that spice cubby!!! Gorgeous! You commented on my kitchen post that we said goodbye to the same stove! I'm still getting used to the grate being so far from the flame on my new one. The slightest breeze affects it. It's like you have a whole new kitchen! Beautiful!

Thanks for popping in to see me.

Hi, Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am so jealous that your cousins live so close to Nashville and can visit anytime and you have been doing that your whole life! Lucky you. On our road trip last year we went from IN to MI, IL, IA and back thru those states and yes, as we came nearer and nearer to Nashville on the return trip, my husband pulled turned at the exit so I could see it one more time! You spice cabinets are beautiful. I so love them. To think each time you use them, cook on your brand new lovely stove, you think of the trip with your mom and her gift to you. What a beautiful treasure. I love how you have such pretty, practical items on the shelf next to the stove. You must love your kitchen and cooking. I bet I could be a good cook in your kitchen too with all the charm surrounding the stove. Blessings.

Hey Ann-Have to work both Saturday and Sunday. The next weekend I work Saturday and am supplying all the decorations and helping set up for my friend's Halloween Birthday party. I think the only time I will be able to open on the weekend is October 16th-sorry. Hope we can get together then!
