The Most Wonderful Memories

I wonder if this was one of my Mom's birthday presents?

Today is her birthday.
This was her last birthday gift

Pinky, posing for a picture. The last present I gave my Mom

She gave me so much over the years.......mostly the undying love of a Mother.
She was my best friend, my travel companion, my confidant.
Tea at the Ritz in London, one of our several overseas trips

I know many people think they had the best Mom in the world. I know without a doubt I did.
She use to tell me the happiest time in her life was when my brother and I were little and
she was home with us.

We never held back saying " I love you"
Normally this week I would have some days off, so we could go on a small trip together, stay at a B&B, buy trash magazines to read and junk food to eat in the room while we giggled. Of course antiquing would be involved in our travels or a trek through a cemetery to find a long lost relative.

Mom, I miss you so today but only because the love you gave me was so everlasting.......

Dear Ann,
Your heart sings with joy as you recall these beautiful moments. Not only did you have one great mom, but she also had one great daughter.

I have a picture like that of my mom, on a pony, as a little girl. What a beautiful relationship you and your mom shared. A wonderful gift.
And I think Pinky is wonderful too. She has an adorable round face and a delightful name. I always enjoy seeing her in your posts!

Te little horse picture brought back lots of memories. I have a photo of my son dressed like this on a pony that looks like this about and same age. Probably someone going around making them.
