For Vintage Thingie Thursday I am tying in with my last post. My previous post is about the books my cousin has written about my ancestor Adam Mitchell. The Battle of Guilford Court was fought on their family farm during the Revolution War. The grounds are now a National Battlefield. My cousin and I went back to the area a couple of years ago. Of course I had to go antique shopping. I found one on land that may of possibly been on my family farm. The name is Thrill of the Hunt in Greensboro NC. I loved the name and the place, even the owners cute little mother was in there folding handkerchiefs. I wanted to find something to remind me of my trip. Here is what I found.
"Think of me" cup, a centerpiece for a Valentine vignette.
To me when I look at it and read Think of Me, I think of my ancestral Grandfather Adam who fought to defend his family and country.
Made in Germany....to bad it doesn't say Scotland, the ancestral home of the Mitchell's.
Think of me..........I do Adam, I do.
