Today is the 5th Birthday for
PINK SATURDAY!
Congratulations to Beverly from
I love David Austin roses, and I am so fortunate the one we chose to place by the
front porch has the most wonderful perfume.
When the wind blows in comes in through the windows.
here is my morning spot on my front porch,
sunshine and the beauty of a rose with a blush of pink
plenty to cut and bring in for bouquets
of course one by my chair where I am writing this
the roses are loving the cooler wet weather
the pictures don't do it justice
love how it hugs the rail
My climbing pink rose bush is ready to burst, I can't wait.
The pink knock out rose is just doing that knocking itself out blooming!
The peonies are late this year and I am glad
They are always the "Memorial Day" flower here
Memorial Day
see my Great Grandmother Nina with her peony bouquet
on her way to visit her ancestors graves.
I will do the same.

I enjoyed seeing all your pretty roses. I am a big yard and flower person. Nice of you to share a shot of your family from another time.
Peonies are among my most favorite flowers. When I was young we had a few bushes of dark pink and light pink in the front yard. For some reason, I liked watching all the ants marching around the buds before they bloomed. I wasn't as fond of the ants when they traveled inside in the cut peonies. Your roses are stunning.
Peonies are beautiful flowers. I am sad to say I have never grown any. I might need to change that! Your roses are beautiful! How special to have a picture of your great-grandmother with her bouquet so many years ago.

We planted our first Austin roses just last summer, and I'm just shocked at how well they produce. (But I don't know anything.) Peonies would be heaven. I've said it before, but you have the MOST wonderful family photos. Love this one. Have a lovely weekend, dear!
I should have planted my roses closer to the porch so I could enjoy their scent. I like your spot on the porch. :):) xoxo,Susie
Ann, Absolutely gorgeous! I don't think I would ever move from your porch spot surrounded by that beauty! :) Pam
Oh Ann! Pale pink roses are my absolute favorite flower and yours are breathtaking, so lovely! And what a wonderful spot you've created for yourself to relax and take in the new day.
Happy Memorial Day weekend!
OH my your gorgeous roses!
I really just adore them.
And the peonies are some of my favorite!
Love the pic with your Great-grandma holding the bouquet, so cool!

Beautiful rose. Flowers are the best enjoyment other than babies in the world..your roses are stunning..and I'm so happy for you that the aroma is always near..
Enjoy..
Ann,
Your blush hued roses are gorgeous!!! I can almost smell them from here! Ha!
I, too, remember cutting fresh flowers, placing them in the crisper in the fridge, then taking them out and placing in canning jars. Grandma always took a bucket of water along in the trunk...how it kept from spilling...I don't remember!!!
Thanks for the amazing photo of your ancestors!!! Always nice to look back to where we've been!!!
Fondly,
Pat
The roses are lovely. And what a special photograph of your great grandparents. I grew up in north east Alabama and Decoration Day was always special in our family. Traditions are wonderful, aren't they? -- Jan
Roses and peonies are favourites of mine as well and it shouldn't be much longer before they bloom here.

Ann, your roses are gorgeous. I know you must be enjoying them so much. Ours are pretty this year, too, and our peonies are in bloom.
Happy Pink Saturday. I am so glad you are here to celebrate Pink Saturday's 5th Birthday. Pink Saturday isn't the same without you.♥
