Happy St Patrick's Day!

Top of the morning to you!

My Irish postcard purchased in Paris

I don't have much Irish blood in me.
Most of the ancestors who lived in Ireland, were stopping by from Scotland on their way to America.

My husband on the other hand is 50% Irish. He Grandmother was a Sullivan and her mother was a Kennedy.  His Great Grandparents were born in Ireland. I on the other hand have to go back 7 generations to my 5th Great Grandfather John McMachen.
My cousin has written two wonderful books about the Mitchell-McMachen family and their adventures in the new America. The links are on my side bar.

Being a good Irish lass, my MIL has given all her DIL's some of her Belleek.
And of course I chose the Pink!

My Belleek collection

I better go find some green to wear. We have 2 huge parades in St. Louis, but a friend and I our headed out to the monthly huge flea/antique market to hunt Pyrex!

Yor Belleek collection in pink is gorgeous! I'm not Irish, but I love Ireland. I grew up in Astoria-Queens, NY, where it was once an Irish-Italian neighborhood and NY in general used to love the St. Patrcik's Day and the week before St. Pat's day everyone wore green, kissed the Irish and the faux ones, like me, etc....it was fun. Have a wonder ful St. Patty's weekend sweet lad. I will visit your link too.

Happy PS and St. PD Ann.
LOVE the sweet post card from Paris. You were there? Me too, but I only ingested croissants, lol.
I've never heard of Belleck, but that shouldn't surprise you. LOVE the soft pink cup and saucer on the left. It's all pretty.
I'm trying to convince Randy to go to Ireland next month. He has to be in the UK, so why not take a short flight to where the Guinness flows like water. It's actually his favourite beer. I don't like any type of beer, never did.
Weather is warming up, but nothing like the rest of the country.
Have a great weekend my friend.

Happy St. Paddy's Day to you, Ann! I didn't know that Beeleek made pink porcelain. Yours is gorgeous! I've very Irish, when hubby & I went to Ireland several years ago, I was thrilled to find out that my maiden name is (at least at that time!) the 7th most common name in Ireland! Oh, and I love your French Irish post card, how fun!!
