Vintage Fruit Prints

When on a shopping trip to Clarksville and Louisiana Missouri,
I found some beautiful prints from a old Stark Brothers Nursery.
They have been in business since 1816 and have a been a large mail order company.

The colors were so vibrant, I had wanted some old advertising pieces
AND
they were 50% off!
so the $6, meant $3!!
the colors of the apples were perfect for the kitchen at 1515
also chose a peach and tomato print.

So off to Walmart I went to find some black frames.

I had planned to put them above the cabinets, but with the frames they turned
out to be too large.
Luckily...
I had a blank wall.

The picture does not do them justice.

I happily have new prints for a reasonable price!
the prints were $9
and the frames were $30

I am headed back to 1515 today with my girlfriends to attend
a the Arcola IL Broomcorn Festival.
But to get there, we are going to travel the
Old National Road (route 40).
Stopping in all the towns along the way do some antiquing.
I wonder what I can find for my $20 budget?

Hi Ann!
Thanks so much for your kind comments on my post about my family, so very sweet of you. What fun that must have been to see your relatives wedding from '46 on You Tube! I found old movies and I need to get them transferred. :)

Have fun making your way to your destination and may your $20 go far!
