More Than Just a Gift

For Christmas it is just my husband,
myself, my brother and my sister law that gather now.

My Mom use to be the one that had the Holiday
dinner and opening of the gifts.

I have been so excited to show you the
treasured gift my dear SIL gave me.

Look at this wonderful silver creamer and sugar.
I have never seen one like this one before?

Why was this such a precious gift....

It belonged to my SIL dear Mother.
She said she found it when cleaning out a cabinet,
and she knew I would appreciate it and that
her Mother would be happy for me to have it.

My SIL mother was such a special, caring and giving woman.
After my Mother died, she would occasionally have a gift for me,
a little Rudolph and one time a beautiful crystal
creamer and sugar.

It is English silver from the Cheltenham silver company.

I think it pairs well with my sterling silver sugar tongs my
Mom gave me one year for Christmas.

For right now I have them on my Dining room table, with my
silver compote and my silver English salt and pepper set.

It was the best of gifts, because it was a gift from the heart.
Thank you Sara, I loved your Mom and I love you too.

A gift from the heart that will be cherished forever Ann. How wonderful. It certainly goes with your mom's things. What a beautiful SIL.
I can see this set as your table top focal point.
I just had a piece of toast and thought how pretty it would be with the "ma maman" jam in your pretty dish. I know it's a sugar and creamer, but who says you have to put that in it??? ; )

This is such a special gift and it's so lovely too. It's a double blessing, something beautiful and special because of who owned it before.

It's lovely, I love that it has it's own carrier.
There is something really special about Silver on the table and especially when given by someone you love.
