Pyrex from the Auction

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago I went to 1515 to meet a friend for a weekly auction.

I think I showed you the car
The car was packed and I spent only $32

Several times they were selling boxes for a dollar, then it got to be a entire table for $1
I could not believe it.

Here is what I got on one table or box

A assortment of Pyrex bowls, all in great condition. So I probably paid pennies for each one of them!
One has a wheat design and the green flowered one matches my set I got when I was married.
Made scrambled eggs in the blue one this weekend, so I think they will get use at 1515 for all our family
 get togethers!

Happy VTT

You were lucky finding those Pyrex bowls and at that price. You can never get too many of them. Most useful.

Lovely, pretty, useful bowls at a knock-out price!
I used to buy at auctions when I was selling at antique/collectors fairs here in the UK, but I've had to kick the habit due to lack of space!

I can't believe you got all that in the Beemer! I have the pattern in front of the Pyrex--hehe 1980's wild :)

Another great find and useful too! I won't be able to open at all next weekend. I work the whole time-sorry. I'm also opening Sunday and Tuesday-weather permitting. I'll try and keep you posted-let me know when you'll be in town again after the reunion. I sure hate missing it all, but there's no way to switch.

Wow, lucky you! I've not found any good deals like that out here yet! But then, I've not gone to any auctions, either. Sounds like I need to start! You got a real steal with those great pyrex bowls, I think they are going to be the next hot collectible!!

Hey Girl-hope you get your car fixed without too much cost-who wants to spend money on things like that! Just a couple of FYI's-I'm working on setting up a facebook account for Ella Maes-I'll let you know when I've got it ready. Not sure if I'm off on that Tuesday you leave-I'll let you know. If you see something you want-let me know and I'll send it with Eric to the reunion-things are selling like hotcakes and I hate it when I want something and it's not there later. Hope you're summer's going good-would love to get together one of these days!

My experience at auctions is never that good.

This weekend I passed up the gravy boat and saucer that match the green flowers. Of course you know if I went back they would not be there.

Pyrex for pennies, what a buy. I went to an estate sale this week but their pyrex was out of site!

Ann, It looks like you hit the Pyrex jackpot. Lucky you. Now so many are using it to reheat things in the microwave instead of plastic. I used to have refrigerator dishes with lids. They were great.Enjoy all your new treasures.
