Vintage French Bistro Set

I was thrilled when I found this set a couple of years ago.
The chairs remind me of some at Luxembourg Gardens in Paris where Mr. and I use to visit every year.

I had it stored in the cottage, but thought it was time to use it. It is larger than some sets, with 4 chairs and a 60" round table.
It is very heavy and the table and chairs all fold up.
There is even a space for a umbrella

My nieces loved sitting there enjoying their Memorial Day barbecue.

I love the arched back design on the chairs

The seats are wooden and very sturdy

But my dilemma is.........do I leave them out during the season and object them to the weather or do I put them away and bring them out to use?  I know me, I won't bring them out...but if they are sitting in the yard I will stop by and have a glass of tea and or eat my lunch.
What do you think?

Oh for sure set them out. Friends might stop by just to sit with you. That is some great looking foliage around there. They look great.

My vote is to leave them out. Enjoy what you have! Like you, I wouldn't take the time to move them so they wouldn't get used.

No question, bring them out, touch them up and use them. Much to nice to leave stored away.

Oh I love this set! So full of charm...I even love the chippy paint. I can picture it hosting a tea party and skirting a beautiful floral tablecloth! My vote is leave it out where you can enjoy it :)

Hey girl- love this set. I would use a clear spray sealer and give it several coats and then leave it out!
I would be sitting out here, too.

Your garden is TDF. I just love it. What a wonderful place to work, eat and play. I love your French set. They would hold up much better if you take them in. Only takes a few. You can do it and enjoy them for years to come. Thanks for coming by my blog, My Old Historic House. I am you're newest follower.Richard

I like the third option. Send them to Laura who has sunshine year around. Hee hee.

I was wondering about this set from the last post-really cool set. I think you should leave them out for only the months with less rain or fold the chairs up against the house where it might be sheltered when not in use!

This is a gorgeous set - I agree with Tete - clear coat and let its beautiful patina shine!

Hi Ann...I say leave them out. I leave everything out. Makes life so much easier! The only thing I bring in are the cushions on my chairs. That can be a pain too. Love your chairs...and all the chippy paint. Keep them just the way they are! Happy Sunday...~Ann
