The Most Wonderful Memories

I wonder if this was one of my Mom's birthday presents?

Today is her birthday.
This was her last birthday gift

Pinky, posing for a picture. The last present I gave my Mom

She gave me so much over the years.......mostly the undying love of a Mother.
She was my best friend, my travel companion, my confidant.
Tea at the Ritz in London, one of our several overseas trips

I know many people think they had the best Mom in the world. I know without a doubt I did.
She use to tell me the happiest time in her life was when my brother and I were little and
she was home with us.

We never held back saying " I love you"
Normally this week I would have some days off, so we could go on a small trip together, stay at a B&B, buy trash magazines to read and junk food to eat in the room while we giggled. Of course antiquing would be involved in our travels or a trek through a cemetery to find a long lost relative.

Mom, I miss you so today but only because the love you gave me was so everlasting.......

  10. Ann,
I have a picture like that of my mom, on a pony, as a little girl. What a beautiful relationship you and your mom shared. A wonderful gift.
And I think Pinky is wonderful too. She has an adorable round face and a delightful name. I always enjoy seeing her in your posts!

  11. Te little horse picture brought back lots of memories. I have a photo of my son dressed like this on a pony that looks like this about and same age. Probably someone going around making them.
