Vintage Santa

Many years ago after my Grandfather died and we were cleaning out 1515, I found a box with vintage Christmas ornaments. At the time I was the only person interested in them, so I took them home. In the box was a Santa on ski's. I love this Santa and his is so precious to me. I wonder where they got him?

He still has his price tag on under his ski's....he was whole 5 cents! It says Morris 5&10, funny thing there was no Morris dime store in the town where they lived so I wonder if it was a gift. They had a very large extended family who were always coming to visit. I must have some of my Grandmother in me because I leave price tags on. I find over the years it is a stroll down memory lane of the place where I bought a treasure. Maybe that is what Grandmother thought about this Santa?

All year long Santa stays under glass in my small curio wall cabinet in the living room.

He even has his bag packed!

He is upside down to show you the price tag.

  3. He is so cute. I like the snow on his skis. I love your tree pictures on the sidebar. That one from 1944 looks so vintage with the wide spaced limbs.
