December Auction...YEP, I Spent $6

In December when I was at 1515 I was able to go to the weekly auction with my friend.

Did not think I saw a thing
Even sent a FB message saying that!
Then this happened

a picnic basket! and one I don't have
Colors are perfect for Christmas
The top is not perfect
I will try cleaning it

the handles are in great shape
I have seen them with broken handles for $15

a great buy for...
$3
yes I said 3 dollars!

Next up
this almost was a Christmas present for a friend
pink daisy casserole dish
no lid
but in perfect shape

couldn't  believe it when MR. said
" I think you should keep it matches your other pieces"
ok, your right it goes ok with my flamingo pink lasagna dish
after all my kitchen is pink and green

Oh I almost forgot...
yep!
$3

I love the auction, I can spend a fun evening with my friend and never spend over $20
On my budget that is a blessing

Snowing here again this morning.
Still can't talk but feel a little better
Headed to 1515 in the am, hope the roads are clear.

Have a great weekend, hope you find a bargain too!

I am glad that you are starting to feel better.
That was a great find and price on the tin. I have gotten so I hate auctions. I use to get thing cheap but now everything I want goes sky high. Enjoy them while they are cheap in your area. I think the reason they go so high here is that we have so many dealers here buying to sell on Ebay. Nothing wrong with that, but I miss my cheap prices!!

I am not a Pyrex collector, but I have begun to look for it at GW and other Thrift and Charity shops. Can't find any! Only in my mom's cupboard! Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Our auction house packed-up and moved away. I used to enjoy going each Friday evening! Love the old picnic basket and pyrex dish!

I can't believe you got those both for $6. That was a very good buy.

I love the picnic basket!! If you have it displayed up high, no one will see the lid anyway. :-) I love those daisy casserole dishes and wish I could find one in blue or green. I love to wear pink, but I don't have pink in my kitchen.

Glad you are feeling better! The picnic basket was really cool, as well as the Pyrex. What really matters is the fun you have with your friend!

I love the green picnic basket, what a great find. I think I would be tempted to keep the pink daisy if I found it :) Hope you get well soon!

Great buys! Of course, I love the Pyrex but that picnic basket is great, too! Lucky you!!!

I enjoy a good auction, but in my area they are few and far between. Love the pink Pyrex.

Wow! Beautiful finds. It is amazing that the wooden handles on that picnic basket are in such great shape. The lid has "patina"! Be careful trying to clean it, I've made the situation worse on metal pieces that I have tried to clean.
