Mama Finch Day

I had to say I dread Mother's Day but I do.........
This is my 10th year without my Mom.
Why does every commercial make you feel bad?
So I dedicate my day to Mama Finch
Not the best picture...but she is camera shy.
Every year, Mama and her Red Finch husband come to 615 and
build a nest on the front porch.
I do not have the heart to shoo them away.
They sing pretty and as I worked out in the yard yesterday, they were company.
I wish her Happy Mother's Day...she has 5 little eggs she is nurturing.

They all have different numbers they nurture
My Mommy
she had 2 of us, see me coming home from the hospital

My MIL
She has 8 she still nurtures
and 17 grandchildren
4 great grandchildren with another on the way

Such wonderful miracles these women experienced.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you that are so blessed to be a Mommy.

Happy Mother's Day Ann. I know how you feel with the commercials. This is the seventh year without my Mom.

I love the beautiful pictures of your family.

Take care,
Pam

My mother died nearly 25 years ago and I still miss her so much. We never get over the loss of our mother, but their legacy lives on in their children and the lessons they left behind.

Why do birds like porches? I have 10 trees within a few feet of my porch and they insist on building a nest on the porch instead. I love that photo of you as a baby. It's sort of strange to think of ourselves as that young.
