Let the Shopping Begin!

Wednesday was a fun, jam packed day!
The twin cousins came to St Louis and we went on our annual shopping trip at Home Goods with my girlfriend.

First we started in Maplewood at one of my favorite places, Penzey's spices.

Great place for presents for Mr.

The street has several wonderful shops
Hardware store with a beautiful facade

OH....a shop where everything is French!
Patty

This shop sells Oil, Vinegar and Liqueurs
you can taste test all these wonderful oils and vinegars!
ahhh....yes the twins were enjoying the liqueur's taste testing!!
The bottles were beautiful
I bought more presents for Mr.
Patty and I thought the Champagne vinegar was yummy!

We will be going back soon!!

Then on to lunch at the recently reopened Cheshire Inn
Beauty English furnishings
Although...some we did not like!

Loved this display...lots of silver all around
Even the baths were beautiful

Then later that evening, out to a wonderful restaurant to hear Erin Bode sing. My sister in law and brother in law from San Antonio were in town.

How lucky I was to be out with family!
We had a great meal and great music.
It was such a fantastic day, how lucky I am!

Today the twins and my cousins from Indiana are headed to Amish country for a continuation of the shopping. Dinner tonight in honor of Marty's birthday...I am making swiss steak.

Oh what a fun day. I love all the stores, and all the tasting. The crocks are so pretty, I would love one of those. Enjoy tonight too. Hugs, Marty

Hi Ann! Oh, what a lovely time you all must have had. Love the looks of all those shops and I'm sure you all bought a few things! Glad to see some pix of your sweet family.
Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,

Was good to see that old Maplewood neighborhood again. It sure has come up in the last few years. Thanks for taking me along. Richard. PS. The Cheshire looks nice, but not as wonderful as it was when Ms. Hullings owned it. The antiques and decore were divine. I have been wondering what they did with the place. What a great place to shop. I have to admit that when I saw your post title I almost groaned...I'm not ready! But this was totally fun and definitely does not deserve a groan! I love swiss steak...sounds delicious.

Such fun. We hear daily just how bad things are, so it is nice to see that people are still out there shopping and having fun. It is wonderful to have cousins to share good days with. Mine are all out of state and I see them seldom, usually on Facebook. I enjoy following your adventures.

It looks like so much fun, Ann.

I have not been in the Cheshire (renewed). Years ago, I was there for a china/crystal/silver seminar for Famous Barr, when I worked in that dept. I seem to remember being there one other time.

I will have to tell the girls about these shops. They look wonderful.
