I Am So Thankful

Even though there are days I think ....."why me?" I know I have so very much to be
 Thankful for.

I am exhausted from another wild day of work, yesterday was a 15 hour day.
But I am so grateful to have a profession I chose and it has always provided
me with what I needed and more.
And I am grateful for my health that I have since I see everyday others that are not as fortunate.

I have a husband who works too much, but takes pride in his 3rd generation
business. He has accomplished so much, and keeps holding on.

For Vintage Thingie Thursday
this my Mothers piece of amber glass. In the fall I always decorate with the pieces we bought her over the years.....some at the dime store and nicer pieces like this one
this are some of the pieces, there is even a turkey and a hen and chick. The candle sticks were my Grandmothers.
I need a new 2nd furnace, new carpet, new side door....
the list never ends with a house 110 years old.
But we love our home and I am so grateful to have a roof over my
head and food in the pantry and the lights and water on.

So many sad stories these days, and I know how very fortunate I am.

Tomorrow will be spent with my husbands family coming to our home for dinner.
I am so grateful I married into such a wonderful family and still have someone
to call "Mom", my dear mother in law.

Who will be at your table, and what are you grateful for?

Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful friends!

Ann,
Yes, we are blessed. It will just be me, Dan, Mom and Dad. Jake will be with Mark's family and Taylor won't come till Christmas. You already know I am thankful to have my parents here and looking forward to us all being together at Christmastime!

You are lucky to come from and marry into such good stock. We need more people like you and yours to make this world a stronger and better place.I am also thankful for a beautiful home to live it. Even though I bought it in a different time and place in my life. Now it is hard to pay the mortgage, do the up keep and provide ma and Sissy with food. Somehow, someway,I have been able to continue to do it. Not much fun and not easy, but then I think of the homeless and less fortunate. God has blessed me with many talents a good mind and a strong back. I continue to move forward and be Thankful. Maybe you two should slow down and smell the roses? I only wish that you have Best Thanksgiving Wishes from My Blog to Yours. Richard from My Old Historic House. And remember, that what does not kill us, makes us much stronger.

Even though we in Canada have had our Thanksgiving, I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am always thankful for my wonderful husband and daughter and of course, my wonderful blogging friends. ;-)

Ann, Joe and I are blessed in numerous ways. I picked up our daughter yesterday at college and it is so good to see her and we are grateful that she studies and makes good grades. She is a sweet girl. We both have health issues but they are under control and we are blessed to have that too. We see our extended family tomorrow and that will be fun. Have a joyous holiday, olive.

Happy Turkey Day, Ann! Seems like forever that I have been in here. It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time this year. So glad that you and hubby are so blessed. I am thankful for every day, everything we have, the friends He has put into my life, my family- this side and the other, and for all the things He has not asked me to bear.
Dinner here- the four of us. No family left around here anymore.
Hugs- Tete

Hi Ann!

It really does put our own situations into perspective when we think of those less fortunate than ourselves! This Thanksgiving, it will be just the 10 of us at dinner: my husband and I and our 8 children. In the afternoon, we'll head up to my mom's house to play games and have dessert with her and her husband. It will be a relaxing day!

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
