For Vintage Thingie Thursday I am going to show you my Mom's Disney toys she had as a little girl.
She had a Mickey and Minnie Washing Machine and one tin plate from Ohio Art, a Dopey figure and a celluloid Donald Duck.
Can you make out that Dopey is embedded in the cap of his head?
I don't remember seeing this when I was growing up? But my Mom found it after her father died and placed on a shelf in her kitchen and that is now where I have it too.
A little wooden handle actually turns
Here is the inside part that turns with the handle
Minnie does not look happy!
Mickey say "oh gosh"
This was found with the machine
Now Donald and Dopey I remember well. Every Christmas they sat under the Christmas tree at my Grandparents, not sure why Grandma did that?
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my Mom's toys. She was born in 1925, just a few years before Mickey.

I have some old toys of my dads. I put them under our Christmas tree too!!! not sure why...maybe because it reminds me of him, and Christmas as a kid.

Aw - what a great Disney collectibles. I've never seen that 'washer' before. How great to have the history as well as the object for display.

How lucky you are having all these very vintage Disney toys. Real treasures filled with great memories.
Those are so adorable. I love ohio art things, being raised in Ohio- I had plenty of it growing up.
Love painted tin toys. One of my passions.

Part of our family history has my uncle, Don, being named after Donald Duck - Duck isn't his middle name - my grandmother liked Donald. Thanks for sharing some of your family's treasures.
Oh, that little washer is just adorable. I don't think I have ever seen one or anything like that. How fantastic you have them and it was something in your family. Very cute!! Happy VTT!
You always have such wonderful posts of family treasures and how they were used!
