Blog Anniversary

A Sentimental Life celebrated its one year anniversary!

Sorry I have been away from reading and writing but it is for good reasons....too busy with family and friends!

My first post did not even have a picture, it was just a memory of my Grandparents.

My second post the next day was Waking up to Coffee in Grandmothers Kitchen. The post was about my girlfriends going to 1515 with me for the weekend to go to the corn broom festival in a local town. And as luck would have it they went back with me again this year.

I want to thank everyone who has followed me and all the wonderful friendships I have made. A big thank you to Robin of Decorating Tennis Girl who encouraged me to take the leap. It also seems my day is not complete unless I catch up with Tete at Beyond the Garden Gate and Rebecca at Ella Mae's Barn Gathering.

Here is a quick look at my last week!

Labor Day weekend saw Mr and I with the Indiana cousins and cousin Fred working on 1515.

It started with a 75th birthday party for one of the cousins

They have the most beautiful home in the country.

Birthday boy cousin Phil and cousin Fred

Look at ALL those Cakes!!  I went for the Guinness....yum!

Back at 1515 Mr getting ready to sand and paint the porch

I was busy setting up shop in the garage sanding my Grandmothers porcelain top table and another cabinet Mr had surprised me with and brought home.

Heidi even came along for the ride since her sitter went out of town too.

Mary and Marty washing windows

The weather was great and Mr and Fred tried out the little grill we have there.

We sat up for outdoor dining
I will show you all the finished projects at another time.

Home late Monday and Tuesday was my great nephews birthday. My brother is such a kid with his grandson!

Worked 40 hours in 3 days and then on to girls weekend

Our first stop was a burger at Moonshine

Then shopping in my hometown and then on to the festival and more shopping. We had a wonderful weekend.

I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and group of friends.

I am working the next 4 days and am scheduled to work OT this week.

So if you don't hear from me I am sorry.

Again thanks for your friendship and support over the last year!

Love you all,
Ann

Gosh, you need to learn to slow down! LOL- boy, busy isn't even the word for it!
I am going to have to take a nap after just reading about it.
Broomcorn was last weekend- is that the one you went to? Never was a favorite of mine, beer tent and too many staggering around that. Just too busy.
I preferred the smaller ones.

I am drooling over all those cakes!
That's the best part of having relatives on this side of the grave- all the food!

Happy Anniversary! You will have many more, I am sure. I can't believe you never run out of stuff to post!
Oh, Yeah! Great cousin house. I could live in that. Pretty and all the details.

Check in every now and then and rest up in between. Fall decorating is coming up!

Hugs- Tete
