Would you buy this?

With us on the threshold of Fall, I love to find pieces to use at certain times of the year.
I love transfer ware and I am in awe of so many of you that have great collections.
However this purchase is partial because I love the transfer ware that Jacqueline posts on

I thought this was so pretty for $5 even though the poor handle is broken in a hundred pieces!
I can see it with flowers in it for a fall vignette.

So tell me, would you of bought it ....broken handle and all??

I would buy it and use it as you say for flowers. too bad some body was so mean to it. Thanks for sharing. Richard from My Old Historic House.

I think it looks great and it wouldn't bother me with a repaired handle, it gives it character! Great buy, love it! Hugs Marilou

The broken handle doesn't bother me at all- many of my pieces around here are keepers because they have damage of some kind. Yeah for me!
But not sure if I would have bought this for me...love the brown but have never liked the image of this transfer. Just not my thing, but now that I know that you love it, I won't pass a piece up!

It is a net piece and would look nice with flowers in it. Just turn the handle away from view. I do not need anything, would be the only reason I would not have bought it.

Like LV I don't need anything, but I certainly would have bought it for five dollars! I always like seeing these old pieces glued together. It tells a little story of love and heartbreak. Someone took the care to put the pieces back together. Some of my china gets broken now and then, and it breaks my heart every time. But I'm so pleased and surprised to be mentioned! I love that you want some brown transferware. A lot of my stuff is broken and cost five dollars too! Haha!
