Trying to Capture Summer

Do you think if I put Summer under glass it will stay?

Do you think the look on his face is because I just caught them?
I found this great cloche at my cousins new shop Forest Road.

So I am using it to try and capture summer

I love mixing vintage with new

I was so happy to find these old butterfly dishes last year.
Stamped France 1899
The fan is a present from my cousins, they bought it at an auction because the advertisement on the back is from my hometown. It reminds me of my brother and I and summer.

Detail of the cloche

Beautiful butterfly

I hope your able to capture the last bit of summer.........

What a sweet display under the cloche. I think I am ready for fall, tho. I understand about the sale, no worries. I did save one of the little trees for you from the back cottage :)

This is my first visit to your blog. I saw your comment on someone else's post, and I was so drawn to the name "A Sentimental Life." I just had to stop by for a visit.

This is a lovely post. Your cloche is beautiful. And I am one who wants to hang on to summer forever. I wish it would never end. (I'm a Florida gal, currently living in the Northwest...and not adjusting well to the seasonal changes.)

Blessings,
Patti

Ann, the summer cloche is simply lovely. Now I am going to disagree in a friendly manner because our summer has been brutal and wish for fall to come and stay a while. hugs♥O

Well Ann ~ I'm not sure if I want to capture summer or let it go at this point. It's going to be very hot again today. Joking aside, I love your summer cloche!

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

This is one of my favorite times of the year, where it's finally cool at night, but still warm during the day. Love that cloche, and the sweet fan inside it!

If you capture it, let me know because I haven't had my fill of it yet. I need more fun time!

Great idea to capture summer and perhaps your beautiful vignette will do it for you. I would put a small fan under my cloche it has been so hot here! Hahaha...and maybe a ice cream cone! What a mess. Love your post.

Hello Ann,
I love cloches but I don't own one...yet. I guess I just haven't been at the right place at the right time. I love your summer vignette. You could take our summer this year...or at least part of it as we're sure done with the triple digit temperatures. I think yesterday was at least the 45th day of triple digits this summer plus we broke a record yesterday. I'm looking forward to fall! I hope it's a beautiful day where you are today.

Your cloche vignette is full of nostalgia for summer. The cloche itself is darling! Love the fan, and those hand painted butterfies! I think this is really special all together!
