Rooster and Chicken Party

It was fun to read about ........having a rooster and chicken party. So I thought about what could I take a picture of. Silly me, I went to the kitchen and forgot about all my wonderful roosters!

Seem they each have a story

Do you spot all the rooster and chickens on top of my Hoosier cabinet?

This rooster was from my Mom's kitchen, he is overseeing my Grandmother's Blue Ridge dishes.

Then I noticed this one.

The container belonged to my Grandmother, it sits on her scale on top of my Hoosier cabinet.

Do you see one here? Look closer...........

I love this large rooster. My ceilings are so tall I needed something big on top of the cabinets, he watches over everything in the kitchen. Then as I turned I saw another!

My Mom's cookie jar! I remember when I was very little there was an antique store north of our town in the country. One time we all went there, Mom brought this home from there...she use to keep her bills in it, no cookies! Darn!

I love my iron doorstop that sits in front of the Hoosier cabinet when not in use.

This are new and I bought them at a French kitchen store in Virginia on vacation

They are candle holders
I am so surprised at how many roosters I had. Notice the green theme.

Now would you like to see a red theme. These pictures are at my weekend home, it was my Grandparents house from 1926- 1978

Chicks all over the place, Sorry these were taken last fall.

The littlest one sits so pretty on the scale lamp.

2 chicks and a rooster in the window sill. For Christmas my cousin bought me the rooster and chick. I was so shocked because I had just that day picked up the same chicken at a antique store so now there are 3.

I sure did not realize I had this many rooster and chicks. I am sure some of you have many more.
This has been fun looking around the houses to see what I had.

Thanks to ..........for hosting!!!

Thanks for sharing! What a fun post! I even spotted some of my obsession in some of your pics - Fiesta!

I don't have any hens or roosters-other than the real ones running around my yard!
