Yesterday after my post, we pulled down the hanging geranium to water and found this!
3 baby red finches!

If you read my blog, you saw the mess I had at the side of the house from
the water main break
What a mess of weeds with a lonely hosta that survived, when
everything else was killed.
With the plants I got free with my garden center points,
I worked all day Saturday....
I had to move dirt and the bricks on the left were completely
covered by dirt. The weeds were bad and the good dirt
had been churned down and replaced by clay soil.
It took longer than I thought!
Mary Fairy is happy with the results!
So now I feel the entryway is respectable again.
Got the porch all planted too
I just need to put a few plants on the back porch.
Not as many as usual, but it will be fine.
McCoy all decked out for summer
I keep trying to find replacement shelves, from 16 years of use
they are getting worn.
fountain all cleaned and I enjoyed having it running while I was out working
My Dahlia's I neglected to dig up all came back!
and are so big already!
Now let's look at my hydrangeas
My Nikko Blue is huge!
It blooms pink, blue and purple
Forever bloomer by the cottage
And my Annabelle is fully loaded to
Hope it is a cheery day for you

ReplyDeleteWow Ann your Hydrangeas are gorgeous! I have not had much luck with them here. I just got a start of an Annabelle from a friend and so far it is doing great. Your hard work surely has reaped great rewards. It all looks lovely. The both the real and metal birds nest. Your plant stand and McCoy collection are fab!

First of all, the babies are adorable. Now.... your garden is awesome! All your plant pots are so cute. Your plants are hearty and beautiful. I just love it, just love it. I can tell you put such hard work and loads and loads of love into your garden.

No wonder you have baby birdies in your plants..your garden is lovely and everything looks green and growing. I love listening to water flowing too! My Eros is always running! Those birdies stole my heart!

OMg the hydrangeas are what I crave I have mabye 5 and always want more, I can't believe yours are so big already , maybe I need to go out and feed mine, i have some real baby baby blooms but nothing like yours

ReplyDeleteHi Ann...what a wonderful post! I loved the garden tour and what a sweet surprise those little babies must have been. I look forward to seeing more photo's as they grow. Twice we had a pair of mourning doves nest in our hanging flower pots on the front porch..it was fun watching them grow but it was difficult to water the plant ;) Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.
