Weighing In

A few months ago, I was happy to find a yellow scale,
for my yellow kitchen at 1515.

chippy yellow

I found out that the Shapleigh Hardware Company, was a
St. Louis company.

The scale is hanging out on the enamel top cabinet Mr. bought and painted
for me.
Do you see my scale lamp too?

It is a baby scale turned into a lamp.
It was the first thing I ever bought for 1515.
I was out shopping with the girls from work and saw it and knew
it would great in the kitchen with that red lampshade.
It is our nightlight for the kitchen when we are there.

  10. Love the yellow scale!!! Several years ago I passed up a pink scale(I kick myself to this day) to someone I used to know(I know-how dumb). Still looking for one to replace it! I would love to have you over sometime. Things are finally getting cleaned up and put back together!

  13. I have a few chickens around the house so it was your little chicken that caught my eye. The lamp is very cute. I've never seen that done before and it seems like the perfect kitchen lamp (yes, I've got a bit of red in my kitchen, too). Your husband did a good job painting that cabinet, the yellow scale just pops and it all looks good.
