New Shelf

At 1515 I decided it was too bare about the stove. It needed something......

I found the perfect shelf at Gramma's Place in Greenup.
Red and yellow with a great scalloped edge.

May end up changing it or adding to it. My husband was on a rare visit to 1515 for the weekend, 2 seconds after he hung it I had these things on it. He asked "how did you do that so fast? You didn't waste anytime!"
Of course not!!

Love the Speed and Whipper! Clabber girl mug because the museum is about 40 miles away in Terre Haute Indiana. The museum is interesting and they have a great place to grab lunch.

Vintage salt and pepper shakers.

The chicken salt and pepper shakers were a Christmas present.

Now I think I will add a metal tray to put behind, it would be great to put magnets on and be able to hang Grandmother's recipes from.

Happy TTT!!

  13. Your shelf is perfect--because of all the red, of course!

    GIVE ME RED RIBBON

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not yellow or purple or green;
    But burgundy, chestnut, carmine or rose—
    These are the colors with sheen!

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not saffron or opal or blue;
    But fuchsia, magenta, ruby or blush—
    Something of sanguinous hue!

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not indigo, azure or grey;
    But scarlet, vermilion, dahlia or pink—
    Colors like these make my day!
