Ready for a Picnic

Summer seems to arrive here! The heat is on...........

So, is there a better time for a picnic?
I remember as a child the old thermos we had.

Here are somethings I found over the last few weeks

A vintage plaid picnic basket, thermos and thermos jug

They are all sitting on the table by the back door so when the cousins come again we can head out to a picnic at Fox Ridge or Lincoln Log Cabin. Or the family reunion is up next in July!

  2. Wow great finds! I don't know what they are going for now as things go up and down, but a few years ago they were very expensive if you could find them! It makes me want to go on a picnic.

  7. The big old round cooler is great. I don't think they make that kind of thing anymore. Do people not picnic nowadays? I love those old picnic items.

  9. Mom used to have a jug that she put between her feet when we would travel filled with ice water. She brought plastic cups for us to use and we all had a different color.
Picnics were more fun when we were kids! We didn't eat out and a picnic was our fast food!
Stay cool- it's hotter than blue blazes here! Have you been to 1515 lately? Do you have tons of locusts there? Stoner Drive is covered- it is crunchy when you walk. We just started hearing them here this weekend.
I don't want them that bad! Yuck!
    Hugs- Tete
