Grandma's Doll Dressed in Pink

The first time I saw these dolls, my Grandmother took me to her bedroom, opened a drawer, brought out a white linen towel and carefully unwrapped it......here is what I saw.

Her little boy and girl German porcelain dolls. See she is dressed in pink.

She even has a little pink hair bow!

Pink petticoat and pink shoes!

Little pink bows in her dress.

I am sure you want to see her beau too.

A fair haired boy, dressed in blue with blue shoes

He has such a sweet face
 and rosey cheeks

they make a great pair

Now don't you think this was the look on my Grandma's face when she opened them up on Christmas morning?

These dolls are about 100 years old now, after my Grandmother died my brought home her corner cabinet and placed them there. I have the cabinet in my dining room and had them there for awhile. I moved them to the pink bedroom where they sit on my hutch I had as a little girl.

Happy Pink Saturday!!

  8. I love it... I have my grandma's music box.
And a collection of old dolls that I am in the process of liquidating (they were not hers).
My collecting has created too much stuff, what was I thinking?
These little dolls are gorgeous and a wonderful reminder of your grandma and the picture is precious.
