Here is what happened when I did.
There are 3 dozen more I bought that are still in the car.
Glad to find some blue for my Dad's room at 1515. Last year the tree I had in there had my maternal grandparents ornaments on them and I wanted to bring them back home.
The pink ones will go on my Grandmother's aluminum tree in the pink bedroom at 1515.
I can never pass up a bell or one with a design on it.

Great finds! I have not bought a single vintage ornament this year...now I am wondering what was wrong with me....I do love my vintage ornaments. Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteFun ornaments. I have some of my old family ornaments but I quit using them when I got a cat.
ReplyDeleteLove these, Ann. The bell with the pink at the top and the round pink one with snow on them are ones we had when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI have a jar full of these also. I have one original box, too, tuck away in the radio cabinet. I kept mine in a tall jar in the living room year round for years, but last year I need the jar to store the cat food in.
LOL
I have 2 aluminum trees, but never put them up here. Used to use one in my booth and then we got the other one when my father in law moved from his house to Cougill Manor.
Can't wait to see how you do Christmas at 1515!
Hugs- Tete
You found some very vintage oraments. I think some of them are better than the new ones.
ReplyDeleteI like your collection! I also have a bad habit of collecting vintage ornaments from the 1900s to the 1940s also. Thanks for sharing....Julian
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart...all those vintage gorgeous ornaments. Fabulous. Thanks for joining Junkin Finds Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh what memories these ornaments bring back...handle with care my grandmother said when i helped decorate as a child. Great vintage find.
ReplyDeleteNice finds! They look like some of the ornaments that hung on our tree when growing up. Hummm! Wonder what happened to those. :)
ReplyDeleteYou lucky! What wonderful ornaments, I love them all!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT,
Sally

Great olden ornaments! Thanks for posting The Daisy Inn gazebo on your sidebar. It looks so pretty with the snow!
ReplyDeleteThese vintage Christmas balls are gorgeous. Lucky you to have them. I too love the bells.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
What lovely ornements! I was thinking the same thing at the Salvation Army yesterday that I never pass on a bell or an ornement with a design...
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!
I love vintage ornaments. I will be doing my tree in vintage this year. The Shiny Brites remind me of our tree when I was a little girl. We would always go out in the woods and cut a Florida sand pine for our tree. One year my dad brought home an aluminum tree. We(4 girls and mom) protested and he still had to take us out in the woods to cut a sand pine tree. Good memories. Love all your beautiful finds! Hope youi share a picture of the tree all decorated in your vintage ornaments!~Ames
ReplyDeleteI love bell decorations too! :-) All the vintage balls look so wonderful. I have some that we found in my father in law's basement after he passed away. I put them in a huge bowl and use them as a centerpiece at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWow, these vintage ornaments are fabulous! What a great find! Came by way of Junkin Finds ... thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove those ornaments! And so many, you are lucky!
